Dr Jon P Harris would like to invite you to the 13th Annual Remembrance Service and Lunch at Worksop:
This year's Annual Remembrance Service and lunch is being held for the thirteenth year at Worksop to help raise much needed funds for the Royal British Legion's 2012 Poppy Appeal.
At last year's Service the Lord Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire Sir John Peace spoke about the relevance of the Annual Poppy Appeal on the 90th anniversary of the Royal British Legion. He reminded us that if all conflicts involving British Forces were to stop immediately, the work of the Legion would continue for the next 90 years support the families, children and grandchildren of the Afghan generation. Already 46 personnel have lost their lives in 2012 in Afghanistan.
The Service is supported by the Royal British Legion and involves the Cadets from Nottinghamshire Navy, Army and Air Force units, Nottinghamshire Girl Guides and Scouts as well as the Sheffield Officer Training Corps and many branches of HM's Armed Forces.
This year's Principal Guests are: Brigadier Michael Browne CBE TD DL, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire and Sir Liell Francklin, the High Sheriff of Nottingham
Dr Jon P Harris,
North & East Yorkshire County Central Branch, Royal British Legion
You can donate directly to the 2012 Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
