Here’s something you might like to get involved in:

Serve On is a new charity which is forming 50 volunteer Community Resilience Teams across the UK, staffed by ex-Armed Forces and Emergency Services veterans, gang members, young offenders and the long-term unemployed.

Our teams will help communities in times of flooding, snowstorms, missing persons, fuel strikes, power cuts, epidemics etc., as well as identifying and implementing projects to improve community resilience.

We already have a 40-strong International Response Team who respond to disasters (earthquakes, tsunamis) around the world and train overseas disaster response teams.

Our ambassadors are Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Bear Grylls, Maj Gen Arthur Denaro, Maj Gen Mick Laurie and Chris Moon OBE.

There are lots of ways you can get involved, from joining our pilot Community Resilience Team in Wiltshire or helping us with fundraising activities, to introducing us to people or companies who are in a position to provide seed funding.
