Hi folks,

We were deeply touched recently by the events taking place here in the UK and in Belgium to mark the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Passchendaele. Over 320,000 allied troops were killed or injured in the campaign, one of the bloodiest in history.  It was truly humbling to watch dignitaries and royals from all across Europe come together to remember the fallen.

It’s a useful lesson from history at a time when two unpredictable world leaders in the form of Donald Trump and Kim Jong-Un are trading insults, each with a finger hovering over a nuclear button.

To distract you from the news, we’ve got some excellent roles below, as well as the usual news and humour. We’re continuing to be really busy, so please do get in touch if you think there’s something for you in there!

Drop us a line on [email protected] if there's anything you'd like us to add to this newsletter.

5 good reasons for doing a university management degree online

  1. To get significantly more money
  2. If you want a career, not just a job
  3. To make resettlement much easier
  4. For international opportunities
  5. Your Services role makes it uniquely possible at this time.

www.onlineuniversitymilipol.com  works with military and ex-military candidates worldwide. We pilot you through the university acceptance process by turning your Services experience into ‘academic points’ so that you are offered an online university place. There is no charge for this work (i.e. it is paid by the university’s online provider) so you can find out if you comply without obligation. We remain with you throughout your study and will even attend the graduation ceremony on your behalf if you are abroad.

The cost of online study is significantly less than that of attending university and, more importantly, you do not need to stop working whilst gaining your degree.

One of the big advantages of online study is flexibility, particularly when you are unable to commit to a fixed weekly schedule. You might even finish earlier than an attending student if you are able to put in more time but your qualification and benefits will be exactly the same. Additionally, you can start immediately after acceptance rather than waiting for the next year like an attending student.

Joke: Drunk husband

A wife was in bed with her lover when she heard her husband's key in the door. "Stay where you are," she said. "He's so drunk he won't even notice you're in bed with me."

Sure enough, the husband lurched into bed none the wiser, but a few minutes later, through a drunken haze, he saw six feet sticking out at the end of the bed.

He turned to his wife: "Hey, there are six feet in this bed. There should only be four. What's going on?"

"Nonsense," said the wife, "You're so drunk you miscounted. Get out of bed and try again. You can see better from over there."

The husband climbed out of bed and counted. "One, two, three, four. Damn, you're right.
