Hi folks,

Here in the UK, winter just keeps on going, so we hope that this update brings a little sunshine to your morning!

As is so often the way, the news has not exactly been cheery of late, so we're not going to dwell on it too much. If you're like us, you've been enjoying some excellent sport instead. The Six Nations, of course is well underway and shaping up to be another great tournament. In the meantime, over in Korea, the Winter Olympics have been keeping us entertained. Only a few days remain but it's been great to see so many military boys and girls taking part and there are still a few left to cheer for, should you feel so inclined!

Drop us a line on [email protected] if there's anything you'd like us to add to this newsletter.

You could be eligible for a university degree in management

A university degree in management can lead you into a worthwhile second career. Your rank could make you eligible for an online MBA at a prestigious UK university. Even if you have a specialist skill, a university degree in management is particularly relevant as your next career path should take you into management. works with military and ex-military candidates worldwide. We pilot you through the university acceptance process by turning your Services experience into ‘academic points’ so that you are offered an online university place with LSM (distance learning associate college of Anglia Ruskin University). There is no charge for this work, as it is paid by LSM, so you can find out if you comply without obligation. We remain with you throughout your study and will even attend the graduation ceremony on your behalf if you are abroad.

The cost of online study is significantly less than that of attending university and, more importantly, you do not need to stop working whilst gaining your degree.

One of the big advantages of online study is flexibility, particularly when you are unable to commit to a fixed weekly schedule. You might even finish earlier than an attending student if you are able to put in more time but your qualification and benefits will be exactly the same. Additionally, you can start after acceptance rather than waiting for the next year like an attending student.

Joke: Uber

An Uber passenger tapped the driver on the shoulder to ask him a question.

The driver screamed, lost control of the car, nearly hit a bus, went up on the footpath, and stopped inches from a shop window.

For a second everything went quiet in the cab, then the driver said, "Look man, don't ever do that again. You scared the daylights out of me!"

The passenger apologized and said, "I didn't realize that a little tap would scare you so much."

The driver replied, "Sorry, it’s not really your fault. Today is my first day as an Uber driver – I've been driving a hearse for the last 25 years."
