Ex-Mil recruits for a leading provider in complete wireless solutions

Challenge

The client is a leading provider in complete wireless solutions project delivery to ongoing operational support, ensuring that organisations can transmit mission-critical voice and data smartly and securely, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Their networks are among the world’s biggest, keeping devices connected across borders and on the move, in some of the industry’s most challenging environments.

This great company had an exciting opportunity for a Radio System Maintenance Engineer (RSME). The person successful in this role was to be responsible for providing radio system maintenance of the company’s systems and 3rd party related systems throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East, South America and Asia Pacific regions.

Solution

Looking at the requirements of our client, the focus was clear and the task would involve looking for a trained technician with a wide range of systems and engineering knowledge and qualifications with some Operator skills of RF, Sat Comms fiber / WIFI and field engineering as well as some knowledge of CCTV and PMR and DMR Radio knowledge

With this in mind, I looked at Ex Royal Signals and on our data base for Engineers and operators and also on LinkedIn and through making contact with my network.

Results

After sending six CVs to the client, three candidates were selected for interview, and one of our candidates – an Ex Royal Signals operator – was offered the role due to his excellent skills and experience.
