The contract award date if very soon, and would be looking for individual to commit in joining the contract early February 2014, with three rounds of interviews, and the final interview being held in Doha.
Job Description
Mission
This role is primarily responsible for Administration of PROJECT Communications Systems, has secondary responsibility of for PROJECT Telephony Systems, and a third responsibility of PROJECT Radio Systems Administration all at Level 2, in the absence of those Administrators.
PROJECT Communications Administrator (Level2) Mission;
• A PROJECT COM Administrator (Level 2) is responsible for supporting the PROJECT Comms System.
• A PROJECT COM Administrator (Level 2) Administers PROJECT Comms systems, including installing, upgrading, configuring and ensuring the Operational effectiveness of those systems
PROJECT Radio Administrator (Level2) Mission;
• An PROJECT Radio Administrator (Level 2) is responsible for Administering PROJECT Radio Infrastructure
• A PROJECT Radio Administrator (Level 2) maintains radio communications equipment, including installation, configuration, upgrading, and rebuilding, in accordance with standards and project and operational requirement.
PROJECT Telephony Administrator (Level2) Mission;
• An PROJECT Telephony Administrator (Level 2) is responsible for supporting the PROJECT Telephony and Videoconferencing System
• A PROJECT Telephony Administrator (Level 2) Administers PROJECT telephony and videoconference system systems, including installing, upgrading, configuring and ensuring the Operational effectiveness of those systems.
• Other responsibilities include being part of a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Main Tasks and Duty of Jobholder
The activities led by a PROJECT COM Administrator (Level 2) after suitable training managed by CUSTOMER, are:
• Performs on-site preventive and corrective maintenance on Communications network infrastructures, to maintain optimal availability of PROJECT Systems and in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements and safety and security procedures.
• Managing day to day tasks (Communications Network infrastructure monitoring and maintenance, checking log files)
• Ensuring that COM networks and infrastructures are operational
• Analysing System logs and identifying, resolving or reporting potential issues with Communications systems
• Performing routine audits of networks
• Identifying, resolving or reporting service incidents, issues, questions and problems within the Communications network Infrastructure
• Administering the reporting and documentation of network configuration and availability
• Administering the replacement of faulty COM equipment
• Ensuring third party maintenance repair is of the correct standard
• Answering PROJECT Communications technical queries
• Providing on-the-job training
The activities led by a PROJECT Radio Administrator (Level 2) after suitable training managed by CUSTOMER, are:
• Performs on-site preventive and corrective maintenance Radio Communications infrastructures in order to maintain operational availability in accordance with standards and project and operational requirements and safety and security procedures
• Managing day to day tasks (radio infrastructure monitoring and maintenance, checking logs)
• Ensuring that radio networks and infrastructures are operational
• Analysing system logs identifying and resolving potential issues with Radio Communications systems
• Performing routine audits of radio networks
• Identifying and resolving incidents, issues, questions and problems with the Radio network Infrastructure
• Recording and Reporting radio network configuration, availability and quality of service
• Ensuring the replacing faulty radio equipment
• Ensuring third party maintenance repair is of the correct standard
• Answering PROJECT Radio technical queries
• Providing on-the-job training
The activities led by a PROJECT Telephony Administrator (Level 2) after suitable training managed by CUSTOMER, are:
• Performs on-site preventive & corrective maintenance telephony in order to maintain optimal availability of PROJECT Systems and in accordance with standards and project& operational requirements & safety & security procedures.
• Managing day to day tasks (telephony infrastructure monitoring and maintenance, checking log file, backup batches)
• Ensuring that telephony and videoconference networks and infrastructures are operational.
• Analysing System logs and identifying issues with telephony and videoconferencing systems
• Performing routine audits of telephony and videoconferencing systems
• Identifying and resolving service incidents, issues, questions and problems within the telephony and videoconferencing systems
• Documenting & reporting telephony & videoconferencing network availability & configuration
• Ensuring the replacement faulty telephony and videoconferencing equipment
• Ensuring third party maintenance repair is of the correct standard
• Answering PROJECT technical queries
• Providing on-the-job training.
Pre-requisites
Education:
• Advanced reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Qualified technician COM LAN, WAN Administration. Certification:
• Cisco qualifications in Routing & Switching (CCNP) or demonstrable experience
• 2+ years experience with communication systems technology and management, Cisco networking & communications including WAN, LAN, WLAN
• 1 + years experience of implementing, monitoring and maintaining routing and switching in an enterprise network
• 1 + years experience of planning, configuring and verifying the implementation of complex enterprise LAN & WAN routing solutions
• 1 + years experience of implementing EIGRP, BGP and OSPF in an enterprise network
• Working knowledge of Communications Protocols, H.323, SIP, Codecs, Calling Search Space, Voice Gateways
• Knowledge of the commands and management tools network (ping, traceroute, Wireshark, telnet)
• Requires understanding of fibre channel switches, SAN and NAS technologies.
• Requires experience with HP/Oracle/Cisco Enterprise level hardware infrastructure
• Good knowledge of Firewall and IP network environment (LAN, WAN), TCP/IP, Voice & VOIP and of Routers and Switches, addressing, layout, routing
• Log and system analysis experiences
• Troubleshooting skills in a real time operational environment along with deployment, commissioning, Administering and Supporting of newer systems.
• Perform daily system monitoring and gather data/metrics for performance and data reporting trending.

• To be able to get EU country defence clearance (e.g; EU Confidential)

As stated this role is a permanent role in Qatar and not in rotation (30 days holydays per year).
Depending on the level of responsibilities, the salary will be between 4500 and 6000 euros. This salary does not include the house or apartment, the car, the laptop, the trip to Europe (twice a year), insurance (life and medical) and other expenses.
