Our Client is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join their team.
The Equipment Division is focused on design, manufacture and service support of powers solutions in commercial and military applications.
The growth of this business is dependent upon the successful execution of Programmes through rapid deployment and execution of project management processes
The programme manager is responsible for leading the business through successfully managing these programmes through initiation, planning execution into manufacture and product launch. The programme manager also has the responsibility to manage bids, undertake improvements and drive through product variations.

Main Accountabilities
• To assume total responsibility for the management of allocated programmes and projects.
• To achieve high performance on all facets of programme delivery ,operational and budgetary margins, accurate forecasting and delivery to milestones.
• To have total and complete understanding of each contract, and programme under the programme managers control
• Define, communicate, execute & monitor the programme plan schedule and prioritise specific to individual contracts and programmes, in line with agreed contractual requirements, with appropriate work packages, key milestones and budgets for each stage of package
• To hold, chair and present at programme meetings such as design, progress and contract reviews and gate reviews in line with NPI process
• Detailing and reporting contract issues, priority and risks, informally and formally at contract reviews, production meetings and customer reviews.
• Manage and report fiscal performance of the programme , adjusting the plan in accordance with programme needs
• Maintain effective and good working relationships with customers (internal and external) project stakeholders and suppliers where appropriate to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded
• Where appropriate, development and training of own staff, recruitment and appraisal.
• Manage project through uncertainty through risk planning establishing appropriate mitigations and contingency plans communicated to the project team
• Undertake bid management through initiation and planning phase, provide sales support through bid review process and provide supporting documentation (Works Cost Estimate, risk register, compliance matrix ,project plan work package architecture)
• To comply with the Company Policy on Health & Safety
• Monthly reporting of cost to complete status ,instigation of remedial actions

Essential Experience
• Demonstrate project management experience, identifying ownership and delivery of high value programs in challenging situations, preferably engineering related programs
• Training in project management disciplines preferably APM or similar
• Use of project management resource tools such as MS project and earned value

Qualifications:
• Degree in business or engineering.
• APM qualification or equivalent in Programme Management minimum HNC Level

Essentials:
• Technical engineering competence in RF and HV (Huge advantage)
• Desirables:
• Business or project management qualification to degree level.
• Project management experience, conversant with project management software, cost and budget management experience.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
