Nuclear Repair Manager (104jc) vacancy in Helensburgh, Scotland ()

My international client is now seeking a Departmental Manager to lead a team of specialist engineers for one of their key projects for the Royal Navy.

Therefore you will be reporting to senior management and you will be responsible for the management of the Nuclear Repair Facility and team, which comprises of 5 team leaders and 30 personnel and your task will be to support and deliver both planned and unplanned maintenance on all Clyde based Subs, Surface Craft and visiting vessels.

To be eligible for this role you will need the following:-
• Royal Navy Cat A or Cat B certificates would be of interest
• Experience of working round Nuclear reactors
• Excellent interpersonal skills, so you can build and motivate a team.
• Must be able to think strategically, with the ability to plan, prioritise and review multiple projects, and at the same time have the ability to shift priorities as needed.
• Demonstrate a sound background in engineering, with extensive knowledge of Primary Nuclear Plant
• Excellent knowledge of current QHSE issues and policies.
• Ability to gain SC clearance for this role.

This role would probably suit an ex RN WO or Officer who has a strong working knowledge of mechanical maintenance on board Nuclear Vessels and who is seeking a career step change for the future.
