My client who are one of the biggest special purpose machine builders in the UK are now seeking a Project Coordination for their Redditch site.

You will be reporting to the Operation Director and you will hold a key role within the company.

You will be responsible for a number of team members and you will have contacts with Customers, Sales, Design, Suppliers, Manufacturing and Project Team

You will be accountable for the following:-
• Compliance – ensure the business processes are strictly adhered to by employees
• Delivery – supply chain, resources and plans are coordinated to achieve project delivery dates
• Communications – daily and weekly plans are updated and communicated

Therefore your responsibilities will include:-
• Comply with all company Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Employee requirements, policies and procedures.
• Ensure projects follow all internal business processes are strictly adhered from concept to delivery achieving Quality, Cost and Delivery targets
• Co-ordinate all resource plans and supply chain activities to meet the project delivery dates
• Ensure the project plan is clearly understood by all parties and all internal and customer actions align to the project timeline
• Communicate to customers and internally on a weekly basis
• Meetings must be held with the project team and resource managers across all sites on a weekly basis both internally and with customers, action points and control documentation must be agreed and circulated
• Project cost summaries must be reviewed weekly using project control sheets
• Ensure that all payments are received, the project cannot be closed until the final payment has been made.
• Carry out a review of the project post completion to measure the success of the project – cost, timescales and specification. This should analyse the good and bad points and recommend and implement improvements for future projects.
• Provide onsite warranty support for installed machines – ensure time and labour is charged for all jobs outside the warranty period.

For this role you will need the following:-
• Excellent planning skills - attention to detail is essential
• Disciplined and organised with excellent communications
• Responsive to customers’ needs whilst maximizing the benefit to the business
• Positive internal working relationships with team commitment and team spirit

The ideal individual would probably be an ex SNCO/WO or similar, who has strong planning, communications and organisational ability who can deal with shifting priorities and who can see things through, as my client manufactures one off items of equipment, and therefore needs someone who can liaise with clients, suppliers and internal resources that can keep the supply chain moving and help mitigate any impending problems and issues.

In return they are offering a decent salary package, as well as working for a small but rapidly expanding company who have at the moment two sites in the UK and who are looking to grow further.
