A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a Major FTSE100 Engineering Support Services Organisation at its RAF Cranwell site, which operates within defence environment.

Job Description
You will be reporting to the Chief Pilot and they are looking to employ a military A2 category Flying Instructor (FI) on Instructor Training Flight (ITF) 115 (R) Sqn RAF Cranwell. The successful applicant will be an experienced military A2 Category FI. All individuals are advised that 115 (R) Sqn will relocate to RAF Wittering in Jun/Jul 2015.

Responsibilities
The key accountabilities of the job holder will be as follows:
• Deliver the ITF training task.
• Actively encourage and maintain a culture of military ethos throughout 3FTS
• Maintain the highest level of safety and quality throughout the 3FTS operation
• Ensure that all communication, documentation and typed material is of the required standard
• Complete Staff Continuation Training (SCT) requirements
• To recommend the highest quality of student for the MOD
• Promote best practice and report bad practice and non-compliance to ensure continual improvement in the organisation
• Flexibility to support flying training tasks at other LAFT2 Sites on an ad hoc basis.

Qualifications & Requirements
Qualifications and Experience Suitability will be judged against the following criteria:
• Current or previously held military A2 category FI qualification on a relevant type.
• Considerable Flying Instructional experience in a military environment.
• DTTC V2 or a civilian accredited adult learning qualification (CTTLS level 4 or similar) is highly desirable.
• EASA CPL (A) with FI Rating (without Aerobatics and Applied IF restrictions)
• Valid Class 1 Medical.
• Valid Instrument SE/ME Rating (A) or IR Restricted (Formally the IMC Rating).
• Flying Supervisor and Authorizer Experience Skills
• Be fully conversant with Military Flying Regulations and Orders
• Adaptable and articulate,
• Comfortable working in a military squadron environment.
• Excellent communication skills Competencies
• Professional in appearance and manner
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Good organisation skills
• Customer Care focussed

Security
The successful candidate will be required to undertake MOD security clearance, Medical Waiver, DTTC V2 and an assessment by CFS Standards for accreditation prior to MOD customer approval to work on the ITF task.
