A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a Major FTSE100 Support Services Organisation at its HMS Collingwood site, which operates within defence environment.

You role will be to instruct in the engineering theory, maintenance, defect rectification, software architecture, data recording, analysis and basic user principles of RN External Communication & Internal Communication systems or any suitable alternate subject to promote cross-skilling.

To provide first line maintenance of equipment associated with the delivery of training.

To aid in the creation of training documentation and media by providing Subject Matter Expertise to Training Design work and to create relevant documentation as necessary.

Responsibilities
Main Tasks:
• To instruct the principles and practices of Weapon Engineering Communication Systems, or other suitable subjects in accordance with the training plan and my client.
• To assist in and to maintain and update training documentation and media.
• To assess student course work and provide feedback on performance, including bringing trainees up to standard
• To be responsible for the duty of care of trainees during the delivery of training.
• To carry out the level 0 and level 1 training equipment maintenance for which suitable qualifications and experience are held.
• Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.
• To carry out the duties of Safety Warden and First Aider if required, having completed the necessary training.
• To actively support any cross or multi-skilling requirements necessary to improve efficiency of output.
• To actively support all continuous improvement activities.
• Other Duties and Responsibilities:
• Carries out any other appropriate task that may be required from time to time
• Employees are responsible for their own Health & Safety, that of work colleagues and students in their care
• The nature of RN training requires a high degree of flexibility for all FOAP staff; there may be a requirement for travel between FOAP delivery sites within the UK

Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Experience and Qualifications:
• Consolidated experience as a Maintainer of Communications Systems, at minimum of POET(WE) level or equivalent - Essential
• Previous instructional experience technical subjects, ideally within last 5 years - Desirable
• Previous instructional experience in a military environment, ideally within last 5 years - Desirable
• Experience in the development of engineering based training courses - Desirable
• Experience (within last 3 years) of CBT/CAI principles, concepts and use - Desirable
• WETG brief on RN WE Engineering Technician career path and Career Course content within 1 month of joining - Desirable
• Qualified academically or vocationally to a minimum of HNC or equivalent in relevant subject matter - Essential
• DCTS Defence Train The Trainer Course or equivalent (successful completion) - Essential
• ECDL or equivalent proficiency in using IT (hardware/software) within the workplace - Essential

Security
The successful candidate will be required to undertake MOD security clearance.
