Police Organisational Development Manager (089sk) vacancy in Turkey ()

Our client is an international company specialising in the design, management and delivery of complex projects globally, who are now seeking a Police Development Manager to advise on and contribute to the design of programme interventions in order to support the organisational development of a nascent police force to be operating within a conflict environment.

Your role is to provide extensive organisational and directional support to a developing governmental police and judicial structure in an emergent society presently in conflict in order to establish greater levels of self-governance and community security as an alternative to existing groups and regimes.

This programme is one supported by the US, UK, Danish and Dutch foreign ministries and all work will be based in southern Turkey from where the programme is remotely managed, and travel in-country is not required.

Job objectives and responsibilities:

• The candidate will be required to establish coherent and effective civilian-led governance structures that enable the local community to articulate security and justice needs within their provinces.
• The Police Organisational Development Manager will be required to develop a robust and transparent policing system that is both reactive and answerable to community priorities.
• They will be capable of initialising the expansion of a more comprehensive civil registry service.
• The candidate will be required to complete the creation of a recognised and resilient partnership between civilian communities and justice structures that are aligned with the priorities and values of other developing institutions within the operational provinces.

Requirements:
• Extensive experience in policing, establishment of emerging judicial systems, training and training programme construction.
• Preferably of senior rank on completion of service
• Previous experience in working on projects with foreign nationals.
• Willingness to work remotely from Southern Turkey.
• Working Arabic and English (can be basic) language skills.

This position would ideally suit a senior police officer/RMP who has experience of establishing large training programmes internationally in hostile or austere environments.

They are offering an excellent daily rate circa £375 per day, as well as all travel, accommodation, insurance and food is covered by the client, as well as security measures as needed. The rotation of this role will be 9 weeks on and 2 weeks off, the role is due to finish in September, however there may be a possibility of extension for a couple of years after that.
