Primary Objectives and Function
• Fully accountable for effective and timely delivery of acceptable proposals to UK MOD and SANG that contribute towards the Company’s annual Order Book.
• Ensuring proposals support the Company’s annual Sales target.
• Ensuring appropriate internal and commercial processes are adhered to at all times.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
Working as part of the Network Delivery team, the Senior Bid Manager is the primary interface to the customer (UK MOD and SANG) for all new business activities and is responsible for creating through-life, value for money solution proposals at minimal risk to the Company.
The Senior Bid Manager has the following responsibilities:
• To identify and evaluate new SANGCOM proposal opportunities in line with Company strategy and targets.
• To continuously assess and evaluate Company strategy in line with Customer / Company needs to influence short, medium and long term planning.
• Creation of co-operative working relationships with UK MOD programme team to ensure timely realisation of opportunities.
• Support the UK MOD Project and Requirement teams to ensure that effective proposals are delivered that meet User requirements and expectations. In addition the role shall require the delivery of projects working with the Programme Management Team.
• Ensure efficient use of Company resources to deliver:
1. Timely and effective responses to RFPs are delivered that meet Customer requirements and company targets.
2. Proposals that adhere to Company and Customer governance procedures.
3. Proposals that are capable of onward delivery by the Implementation team and onward support by the Company Operations, Maintenance and Training team.
4. Continuous and high level of Customer satisfaction.

The Senior Bid Manager is an important representational role for the company. The post-holder will be expected to manage effective business relationships with a wide stakeholder group including officers from the SANG and the UK MOD, together with international suppliers and sub-contractors at senior management level.
Recruitment Specification (Knowledge & Experience):
Essential
• Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate discipline.
• Demonstrable understanding of bid management, project management and commercial practice.
• Proven track record of delivering and managing successful military or commercial communication capability bids.
• Team management / leadership experience.
• Sound knowledge and experience of managing budgets.
• Recognised Project Management qualification.
• Proven customer relationship experience.
• Strong standard of written and spoken English.
Desirable
• 9. Experience of project planning and Microsoft Project
As this role is based in Saudi Arabia, candidates must meet all of the minimum qualifications as they are not bound by UK or EU Laws, also only individuals up to the age of 55 will be considered for any of these roles.
