My client is one of the world’s largest logistics operations with operations in over thirty countries across the globe are now seeking a Group Security Support Officer for their expanding Operations in Edinburgh

You will be reporting to the Group Chief Security Officer and you will be providing support services to the team, whilst gaining a broad range of experience within the team.

Overview & responsibilities:

• Analysing security data and generating monthly and annual reports
• Administration of the Crisis Management System.
• Managing monthly and annual SeMS Self Certification.
• Reviewing Security Incidents to ensure correct categorisation
• Updating security policies and procedures
• Centralised management of Security Equipment approval process
• Updating Security Awareness training material
• Preparing and distributing of Group Security Alerts
• Arranging security meetings and workshops
• Administration of security webpage via closed intranet

Skills and experience:

• Excellent report writing and presentation skills are critical
• Highly developed computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to a proficient level
• The ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• You must be able to work independently with a hands-on, practical approach to providing solutions in a challenging and dynamic business environment
• Ability to work in an international environment
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and disciplined with a flexible attitude to work
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people from different levels and cultures
• Operational experience would be an advantage
• Prepared to travel, sometimes at short notice, including possible temporary periods of secondment.

This role would suit a SNCO/WO who is seeking their first role out in to the civilian sector, possibly coming from a RLC/Logistics background, however other suitable individuals will be considered.
