Electrical Academic Instructor (159jc) vacancy in Coventry ()

My client is an armed forces friendly organisation, is one of the UK's leading Engineering Support Service Organisation which has seen sustained growth over the past years. To ensure that they are able to commit to continued growth they are now looking to recruit a number of Electrical Academic Instructor at their brand new purpose built facility in Coventry.

This is a one year contract that is due to start in August 2016.

The ideal candidate will have completed An Electromechanical or purely electrical type apprenticeship in most types of Engineering Industries. You ideally would have attained an appropriate HNC / HND / Degree or could be a recent graduate. Experience gained within a Manufacturing & Maintenance environment would be of an advantage.

A strong mathematical aptitude and an understanding of Electrical and or Electro - Mechanical principles would also be a benefit.

The purpose of the role is to deliver academic and curriculum programmes.

Major Tasks:

• The development of NVQ and/or BTEC programmes in readiness for delivery
• Demonstrate and support good practice through innovative teaching and learning strategies
• Promote the sharing of ideas across the Academy to support objectives in becoming an “outstanding” provider
• Participate in internal verification activities to ensure compliance and standardisation across the Academy

Requirements:

• Effective management of resources and operational risk
• Experience of programme development and design
• Competent teacher / instructor with experience of delivering level 3 programmes in the engineering sector (particularly BTEC National)
• Champions the role of programme and project management in the organisation and maintains an effective relationship with the relevant subject matter experts
• Literate in Microsoft Office applications
• Must hold or be working towards ATLS / QTLS
• Previous leadership and management experience
• Demonstrate experience in course design and planning
• Must hold or be working towards DTTLS qualifications with a view to obtaining QTLS
• Demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning
