You will be reporting to the Managing Director and this role will have the following levels of function:
• Empowered and accountable for the management and delivery of the strategic programme within a high profile programme of work to improve and enhance a nationwide, communications network in Saudi Arabia.
• The programme requires management of all stages of the project lifecycle from design through to implementation, customer acceptance and technical transfer into operational use.
• Responsible directly to the Managing Director for fulfilling the responsibilities of the company on behalf of the major stakeholders
• Responsible for sound leadership and ensuring the professional conduct of the multi-functional programme team, the number of which is under review.
• The Operational System Programme Head will be the lead in customer relations and will be expected to work in close collaboration with senior representatives from both the of the major stakeholders
The Head of Operational System Programme will have the following duties/responsibilities:
• Delivery of the Operational System programme in line with the customers key success criteria
• A full understanding of the customer requirements with the aim of meeting or exceeding major programme milestones.
• Develop technical and acquisition solutions that fully meet the customer`s requirements.
• Develop excellent working relationship with the customer based on honesty and visibility.
• Be able to report to the Managing Director on the full spectrum of business activities and advise on technical, budgetary and commercial issues.
• A disciplined approach to ensure effective project planning and control.
• Ensure programme risks are defined, analysed and sound mitigation plans are in place.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.
• Apply lifecycle management processes.
• Lead regular reviews with the senior stakeholders on the progress of the Operational System programme
Successful applicants for the Head of Strategic Programme will offer the following MANDATORY skills/experience:
• Relevant business/communications/networks first Degree or equivalent.
• Proven experience of running a major programme, preferably in the telecommunications field.
• Practical knowledge of communications networks.
• Solid experience on project finance
• Experience in developing customer relations.
• Sound leadership, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to present effectively to senior stakeholders from both Government and Industry
• Current position must be a permanent full time role.
Further experience which is DESIRABLE includes:
• Business experience in the Defence Sector
• Programme/Project Management qualification.
• Up-to-date technical knowledge of telecommunications systems.
• Experience of living or working in the Middle East
As this role is based in Saudi Arabia, candidates must meet all of the minimum qualifications as they are not bound by UK or EU Laws, also only individuals up to the age of 55 will be considered for any of these roles.
Please note this role is open to UK and Saudi Nationals only.
