My client is an armed forces friendly organisation, is one of the UK's leading Engineering Support Service Organisation which has seen sustained growth over the past years. To ensure that they are able to commit to continued growth they are now looking to recruit a number of Avionics Supervisor (B4T) to be based at RAF Valley in Anglesey.


Your role will be to be part of the team to work on the Hawk IOS T1 Majors Recovery Programme contract at RAF Valley. This is a Shift position.

The Contract is responsible for the provision of First and Second line support for the Hawk aircraft

The successful candidates will report to the Majors Mods Senior Supervisor and will be part of the team supporting the Majors Mods Programme at RAF Valley.

The position requires the individual to have a good working knowledge of Hawk Aircraft Systems within the Avionic trade. Ensuring the maintenance of trade skills and high levels of trade practices and workmanship required to meet contractual requirements in a safe and efficient manner.

The successful candidate should be a minimum of Grade B3T within the Company and should hold NVQ Level 3 in Aircraft Engineering Maintenance, or received military aircraft technical training in an aircraft systems discipline or equivalent civilian training.

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies and experience:

Experience
• Knowledge of the Hawk TMk1/TMk2 Aircraft and/or components maintained, and of Fast Jet maintenance.
• Should be able to demonstrate knowledge of RAF Engineering Policy documentation and organisation.
• Experience of working with quality, safety and environmental management systems.

Skills
• Should possess sound fault diagnosis skills.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of trade based aircraft maintenance & testing practices.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of relevant trade based aircraft systems.

Attitude
• Able to achieve task objectives and deadlines in a cost-effective manner.
• Enthusiastic, disciplined team players or, when required, as individuals.
• Positive focus to ensure contracted output is balanced against customer’s goals.
• Willing to migrate to MAOS maintenance principals

Security
• The successful candidate will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements.

Shifts are approximately 13.30 to 23.45 Mon to Thur and 13.00 to 21.30 on Fri.
