Fitter Turner Trainer vacancy in Gosport (051jc)

My client is one of the UK's leading engineering support services organisation employing over 28,000 people across the world, who offer a hugely diverse number of career options are now seeking to recruit two Fitter Turner Trainers for their operations at HMS Sultan.

You will be reporting to the Department Lead Trainer and your responsibilities will include;
• To instruct Hand Fitting, Drilling, Centre Lathe Turning and Milling principles in accordance with the training plan and Sultan TSOP procedures.
• To assist in maintaining and updating training documentation.
• To assess student course work and provide feedback on performance
• To be responsible for the duty of care of trainees during the delivery of training.
• To carry out the level 0 and level 1 training equipment maintenance for which suitable qualifications and experience are held.
• Ensure Company security, health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times. direction
• To carry out the duties of Safety Warden and First Aider if required, having completed the necessary training

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Consolidated experience (within last 5 years), or directly employed in Hand Fitting, Drilling, Centre Lathe Turning and Milling engineering principles in the maritime environment. - Essential
• Previous knowledge in the application of Hand Fitting, Drilling, Centre Lathe Turning and Milling engineering principles - Essential
• Previous instructional experience in a military fitting & Turning environment (ideally within last 5 years) - Desirable
• Experience in the development of fitting & turning engineering based training courses - Desirable
• Experience (within last 3 years) of CBT/CAI principles, concepts and use - Desirable
• Qualified academically or vocationally to a minimum of HNC in relevant subject matter - Desirable
• DCTS Defence Train The Trainer Course or equivalent (successful completion) - Desirable
• ECDL or equivalent proficiency in using IT (hardware/software) within the workplace - Desirable
