Driver/Machine Operator (53sk) – Nationwide Travel - £28k/8 mths

Our client is an innovative supplier of road repair systems throughout the United Kingdom, they are now looking to enlarge their current teams with further Driver/Operators in order to provide operation of their premier product for the next period of contractual obligation.

The role is for a permanent period from March to October annually, however those candidates selected will start immediately for the remainder of this year in order to complete training and equipment familiarity with existing teams.

The candidate once training is completed will operate their own machinery individually and must possess the ability to work alone completing tasks to time required.

The role will consist of carrying out road maintenance and surface patching with their mobile system.
As a mobile machine operator you will be expected to take instructions from the roads engineer and carry out the appropriate repairs as per training, which will be provided.

You will have full responsibility for your machine and will be expected to carry out routine maintenance tasks on it, this is an C+E category vehicle.

A company van will also be provided with full fuel card facility.

The ideal candidate must have the following: A clean C+E Licence. Fluency in English. Must be trustworthy and able to work on own initiative.
Some mechanical ability would be an advantage (ability to carry out minor servicing tasks on the machine). A keen eye for level surfaces would be an advantage.

This is an extremely varied role, and is for approx. 8mths of the year, travel during the contract period is extensive and full accommodation package is offered, working on an innovative vehicle for varied clients.
