Course Designer – Weapons vacancy in Lyneham (058jc)

My client, one of the UK’s leading Technical Training and Assessing companies who work with some of the UK’s largest companies are now seeking a Course Designer for its operations in Lyneham.

You will be reporting to the Course Designer Lead and your responsibilities will include:
• Review Training Objectives (TOs) produced by our client.
• Produce controlled Course Training Package (CTP) documents for both equipment and career courses primarily in the armaments/weapons discipline.
• Produce specific course packages to meet DCTT EMTC and Contractor specific requirements.
• Produce and evaluate Précis, Examinations and Assessment Packages.
• Deliver Pilot courses with Instructors (where necessary).
• Evaluate requirements and need for new training aids and advise on purchase of training aids.
• Review suitability of E-learning.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Must have HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical engineering.
• Ability to research new subjects, design and develop new materials for précis, assignments and projects.
• Knowledge of technical authorship.
• Knowledge of Defence Systems Approach to Training DSAT.
• Carry out personal development to keep abreast of changes in technology.

Skills Profile:
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft Packages.
• The ability to work on your own when required.
• Working within a quality management system.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
• Competency applicable to the post, training will be given.
