Maintenance Engineer vacancy in London (194jc)

My client is one of the globes leading integrator of payment and information solutions and related services for intelligent travel applications, and they are now seeking to recruit a dynamic Maintenance Engineer for their expanding team.

Your role will be to provide Maintenance and Repair of Client equipment on the TOMS Network and support to the Maintenance Team Leader.
• Carry out routine and Preventative Maintenance
• Attend faults and ensure the use of a logical approach to fault finding.
• Ensure all activities are performed safely and to a high standard.
• Ensure asset maintenance is reported in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide support to the Maintenance Team Leader
• Perform Workshop repairs & modifications to component level and accurately record.
• Work in a Safety critical arena, roadside, in Tunnels and at Height
• Attending and proactively participating in the Maintenance Team meetings
• Deputise for the Team Leader when required.
• Produce shift reports when required.
• Work in a shift pattern
• Comply with company’s Quality Management System
• Comply with company Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and procedures
• Comply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisations
• In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder is required to perform other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager from time to time, as may be reasonably required of them

Qualifications/skills
Essential:
• Qualified to ONC or BTEC in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Hold G39, IPAF, ASLEC approved,
• Experience of Maintenance on modern electronic equipment
• Experience of supervising Teams.
• Previous experience of maintaining and repairing equipment in a roadside or similar environment
• Full Driving Licence

Desirable:
• Hold current qualifications in BS7671 (17th Edition Wiring Regulations 2015)
• NHSS8 accreditation
• NRSWA units 1 to 9 qualification
• IP systems working knowledge
• CCTV systems working knowledge

Health, Safety, Environmental and Risk:
• Report accidents involving staff and patients according to established procedures and in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Report immediately any incidents, accidents, complaints or other occurrences involving visitors or staff. Resolve wherever possible complete accurate statements and report to the appropriate manager as soon as possible.
• Report defects in the equipment and the general fabric of any building to the appropriate manager of the Organisation.
• Take action to assess the management of risk to reduce where possible the impact on visitors, staff and property.

The ideal individual would probably be JNCO/SNCO from a construction or engineering background, who is seeking to move into a more management type role in the near future.
