HGV Drivers vacancy in Glasgow (227bh)

My client is a well-established, privately owned, Glasgow based logistics and transportation company which distributes palletised freight throughout the UK. The company is now seeking to recruit Class 1 and Class 2 HGV drivers for its fleet of up to date vehicles.

For these roles you will need to be an experienced HGV driver who is capable of working autonomously and dealing directly with customers. The company uses a 21st century on-line tasking and reporting system which drivers access via a PDA. The essential characteristics the client requires in all his staff are reliability, initiative, enthusiasm for the job and attention to administrative detail using the on-line system. To be considered for these roles you will need a full driving licence at the appropriate class and an up to date CPC.

There are both full and part time positions available. For the full time roles you will need to be able to spend nights away and respond to short notice taskings. The part time roles require mainly night-time work on set days of the week and at weekends.

In addition to the basic pay, the client offers shift allowances and overnight expenses where appropriate, an excellent working environment, 28 days annual holiday, full training as required and (after 3 months) free life insurance.
