• Technology
• Engineering
• Mathematics
They are currently recruiting for the following roles across their sites in Bristol (Keynsham) and Barrow-in-Furness. Relocation packages can be considered.

• Supportability Engineers (Band 5)
The Dreadnought Programme
The Dreadnought programme, which has recently received full parliamentary approval, will deliver a new generation of submarines to carry the UK’s nuclear deterrent. It is the largest programme in Defence with a budget of £34 billion confirmed in the Strategic Defence and Security Review.
My Client – Their Involvement
They are charged with ensuring that the Dreadnought submarines, and the support arrangements that they and others provide, are capable of ensuring the delivery of the UK’s Continuous At-Sea Deterrent patrols.
Ensuring that our nuclear deterrent is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year is a huge task and one that my client has a major part in delivering for the current Vanguard-class platforms. They have three primary functions within the Dreadnought Programme:
• Influencing the design of the submarine – maximising ease of support in service;
• Developing an in-service Support Solution which demonstrably satisfies requirements for availability and cost;
• Ensuring the submarine can be maintained within safe operating limits.
About You
An excellent communicator, you will be able to articulate complex arguments for a wide range of stakeholders to understand. You will be able to demonstrate that you can drive issues to completion.
Preferably degree qualified (or HND/HNC with relevant experience) you will be committed to continuing your professional development.
Project Management experience or qualifications would be advantageous as the role requires the delivery of documentation to time and budget.
What they we offer you?
My client offers the supportive environment you would expect from a FTSE 100 employer including:
• Flexible working hours
• Excellent job security as demonstrated by our £20 billion order book
• Pension scheme with up to 8% employer contributions
• Life assurance
• Share ownership scheme
• Professional subscription support
• Occupational Health services
• Career opportunities and specialist advice and guidance from our award winning Investors in People Gold award Learning & Development teams.
Security
Successful candidates will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. You must be a sole UK national and hold, or be capable of achieving ‘Security Check’ (SC) clearance.
The role will be in an environment regulated by Trade Control legislation and involve working with controlled goods, technology and/or services. This may require you to meet enhanced security and regular screening checks.
