Operations / Logistics Manager (005sk) - Berkshire – £40+ Commensurate with experience.

Operations Manager duties will include:
Lead site operations team; coordinating drivers, vehicles, loads and journeys
Ensure quick and efficient solutions to all site issues
Planning and controlling change in a dynamic environment
Oversee inventory levels
To liaise and manage all direct reports on a daily basis to understand/rectify any shortfall in performance
Implement quality management and regulatory strategies
Ensure safety regulations are adhered to
Have an input into the development of the site operations team
To systematically appraise the performance of each team member and undertake yearly appraisals and set goals/targets for continuous improvement as per agreed KPI’s
Report to monthly management meetings on performance of the team
Produce Monthly KPI`s and reports on the effective planning of the business, ensuring the highest levels of quality and service delivery are achieved

Essential qualities:
Proven track record in operations / team leadership
Minimum of 5 years team management experience
Management of a team of more than 10 staff
Management of a team in a dynamic environment
Coordinate with other departments

Package
The role comes with a competitive salary, 20 days annual leave and an additional period of leave over the Christmas period (this is discretionary but is usually a 2 week period)
This role would ideally suit a candidate of SNCO/WO rank with a strong Stores Logistics, Fleet management background, experience in the commercial sectors would also be advantageous as you will be required to organise and iniate company logistics policy and systems.
