My client is a division of one of the world’s largest fuel supply companies are now seeking to recruit an individuals to join their company as Head of Office in their Karachi operation.

You will be reporting to the Senior Logistics Manager (SLM) and you will have an Operations Manager and Admin staff reporting to you, and you will be responsible for managing all issues of fuel supply from Pakistan into Afghanistan.

You will be liaising with all internal managers as well as Supplier representatives, Transport Contractors, Independent Inspection Companies, Tracker company representative, and Pakistan Officials and authorities

Therefore your role will consist of:
• Primary contact for all company matters concerning Pakistan.
• Ensure the smooth supply of fuel from Pakistan to Afghanistan.
• Ensure HQ is kept informed of all issues concerning the company in Pakistan.
• As well as monitor the Oil industry in Pakistan for future business opportunities.

Therefore your specific objectives will include:
• You are responsible to the Sr. Logistics Manager for the following:
a. Managing the progress of all orders.
b. Liaison with all contractors concerning company business.
c. Daily management of the office in Pakistan.
d. Manage all finances concerning Pakistan.
e. Managing an affective documentation system.

Oher tasks as directed by the SLM.

Performance Objectives:
• Knowledge of all NCS orders.
• Knowledge of the local conditions affecting work in Pakistan.
• Knowledge of all documentation and requirements.
• Manage and Develop procedures and routines during the expansion of any new company business.

To be eligible for this role you will need the following:

Experience/Qualifications:
• Proven leadership and management experience in fuel or general logistics

Skills/Attributes
• Advanced computer skills, database management and spreadsheet development
• Knowledge of contemporary fuel logistics and quality control
• Business process improvement skills and experience.
• Working knowledge of Pakistan and Afghan business and social cultures.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team in a developing country.
• Ability to work in an international, dynamic and multicultural environment.
• Working knowledge of fuel delivery and safety requirements.
• Can adapt to rapid changes in a positive manner and work to tight deadlines.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English are essential.
• Experienced PC User, familiar with MS Office, email and Internet.

The ideal individual for this role would probably be an ex Warrant Officer or Officer who can demonstrate hands on knowledge on logistics and supply train, with a good understanding of the culture of the region. Should you also have strong background in fuel would also be a distinct advantage.

Due to the nature of the contract, alas my client can only accept applications from NATO member countries.

In return they are offering and very competitive salary package, which is monthly paid, 10 week and 3 week rotation, monthly meal allowance paid in cash in country, with all travel and insurance covered by the client.
