Project Co-ordinator vacancy in Snow Hill, Birmingham (042jc)

My client, a Chartered Surveyors who is one of the leading firms that provide professional advice to the utility and infrastructure sectors are now looking for an experience Project Co-ordinator to join their team on an initial one year contact, with possible extensions.

You role will be to assist in the Early Works for HS2, and you will be involved with the HS2 project between London and Leamington Spa.

In this role you will be responsible for establishing and delivering a project to meet with a high volume of landowners throughout 2018. The role will liaise with multiple departments and organisations to programme and prepare for the meetings and will then co-ordinate with the remote working surveyors to deliver the meetings. You will also be expected to undertake some site meetings in support of the surveyors. Experience is required in working with and co-ordinating programmes and directing people whilst delivering to tight deadlines. You need to have clear and confident communication skills and have a “can-do” positive attitude whilst working day to day with the client. Knowledge of the rural environment and agricultural matters would be advantageous as would previous experience on Utility or Infrastructure projects. You must also have your own car.

This role will involve:
• Working with a team to support the HS2 project’s enabling works
• Establishing and maintaining close and effective relationships with clients, contractors and landowners
• Planning programmes and processes and overseeing efficient flows of data
• Day to day client liaison.
• Attendance of meetings on site and at client offices
