Ideal candidates will be experienced Class 1 CAT C+E (HGV1) drivers and will require the following:
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Driver Qualification Certificate of Professional Competence
• Full UK License, preferably clean.
• Eligible to work in the United Kingdom
• Competent in written and spoken English as you will be required to communicate with customers and be able to complete timesheets and proof of delivery forms among other small administrative tasks.
• An excellent knowledge of the UK road networks.
Drivers will report to the Transport Manager and will be responsible for carrying out various duties including:
• Driving safely at all times, paying particular attention to all drivers' hours regulations.
• Carrying out daily driver checks and accurately recording and promptly reporting faults.
• Manual Handling (assisting with the loading/unloading of vehicles).
• Maintaining a clean and tidy vehicle (inside and out).
• Acting as a representative of the company.
My client is looking for applicants preferably living in the Fife area though not exclusively. You must be able to prioritise your daily workload and effectively plan your route using your own initiative. A strong team player with excellent time keeping and a friendly and can do attitude, are sought after personal skills.
