My client, is a pioneer in its high-tech market place are now seeking to recruit a materials controller to join their team in Bordon

You will be reporting to the Head of Composites Manufacturing and your role will be to manage and expedite controller stock receipts, movements and despatch.

Therefore, your key tasks will include:
• Observe team and company level policies and procedures to ensure consistent and coherent team output, in line with company guidelines.
• Goods-In receiving, ensuring any purchase order and/or delivery anomalies are resolved or highlighted.
• Allocating, picking & issuing materials against works orders, sub-contract orders & stores requisitions.
• Managing material stock including material shelf life
• Processing shortage runs, ensuring materials are delivered to works orders in a timely manner.
• Pack and despatch goods – sometimes this may require driving a van to deliver goods.
• Carry out stocktaking & perpetual inventory counts as & when required.
• Undertake basic part inspection & cleaning.
• Manage an accurate record and stock of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).
• Maintain a clean, neat & orderly work area. Maintaining warehouse/stores security.
• Other activities as delegated by the Head of Composites Manufacturing.

To be eligible for this role you will need the following qualifications, experience and experience:
• Full UK Cat B driving licence required
• Forklift Driver preferred but not essential
• Proven stores or warehouse experience, ideally in the electronics, hi-tech or aerospace industry.
• Experienced user of Trimergo MRP system would be beneficial but not essential as training will be provided.
• Organised, accurate and an attention to detail is essential.
• Results orientated; strong drive to meet quality levels & deliver to schedule.
• Good problem solver; able to work methodically, to tight deadlines within a pressurised environment.
• Good inter-personal skills; able to communicate at all levels across the business.
• Pro-active and flexible with a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Computer literate, with good MS Office skills, particularly Excel.

This role would probably suit a Tech Storeman from one of the Corps, i.e. Royal Signals, REME, who have experience in dealing with hi-tech materials or ex RN or RAF from a similar background.

In return they are offering a good salary, and an excellent benefits package which includes 32 days holiday, plus Bank Holidays, 37 ½ hr week, with flexitime around core hours among other benefits.
