We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced high quality MIS and Data Analyst to join the Data Team based at Central Services, Edwinstowe.

Reporting to Head of Projects, this role holder has responsibility managing all aspects of the charity’s data collection, analysis and management information, reporting for internal functions across the charity and externally to stakeholders and customers.

The MIS and Data Analyst will lead on the charities data strategy, deliver detailed insight and analysis to guide critical business decisions, and will ensure the charity manages and produces high quality data.

As an active member of the Data Team personally contributing and supporting colleagues to deliver high performance, getting the best out of KMS/CRM systems and always looking for solutions to streamline data extraction and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively keeping up to date with school data tracking systems and school performance data reporting requirements to the Department for Education, Ofsted, Estyn and Education Scotland to inform SkillForce student characteristic and attainment data collection methods. Updating the Executive Board and middle managers as appropriate
Identifying, and developing robust design methodology and data collection measures to obtain data from various internal and external data sources and ensure its reliability and validity
Deliver the objectives of the charity Data Plan and ensuring that it is fit for purpose for each Academic Year.
Management and analysis of vast amounts of data in raw formats and translating it into digestible information for stakeholders to use for actionable strategies.
Delivery of (one off and periodic) clear and accurate reporting based on robust analysis highlighting strong performance, underperformance and areas of concern in a balanced, effective and timely manner
Working with all departments and functions to utilise data in creative and innovative ways to assist in sales, retention, marketing and impact strategies.
Liaising with and briefing Executive Board and managers on the interpretation and implication of analysed data
Identifying trends and patterns in customer and sales data to determine what a high value customer is and how to replicate that. Providing analysis around (but not limited to) customer behaviour and lifecycle, product performance and conversions, promotion/marketing impact, industry & competitor trends and customer cohort analysis
Ensure outstanding management of data, ensuring the charity is GDPR compliant by following the data protection policy and completing an internal data audit twice per year
Ensuring any issues relating to quality of data or compliance with data entry are identified and addressed. Report internal and external data compliance to managers and Head of Projects on a weekly basis
Regularly review the data risk register to manage and mitigate risks
Oversee quality assurance of data inputting, escalating issues to the Head of projects
Ensure any dashboards or reports are re-runnable without any future manual intervention
Provide direct training and training material to internal and external stakeholders and support stakeholders with the day-to-day use of their dashboards and collection tools
Act as a role model in line the Charity’s code of conduct and always ensuring compliance with the Charities governance, policies and procedures addressing any areas of non-compliance immediately
Represent the Charity deputising as required

Key Skills/Qualifications required:

Data and MIS analysis experience delivering day to day reporting and analytics
Experience in designing and establishing measures and reporting activity
Highly confident in dealing with ambiguity and scoping work with keen attention to detail
Ability to understand complex or multiple data sets and identify issues
Excellent IT skills (in particular; Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Excel)
Excellent team working skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Experience of developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Commercially focused and driven with the ability to work towards metrics and targets
Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Desirable:

Previous experience within the education/charity sector
Understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection
Experience of working with remote teams and managers
Expertise using SQL
Experience of data mining
Data Analysis qualification
