You will be reporting to the Divisional Direct and your role will be a dual role, most importantly acting as Number 2 to the Director and taking off some of the day to day operations of running this £6 million division within the £20m group, as well as leading the sales team in the development of new business from current and new clients.
This division deals in the Hi-Tech sector of the market, as well as CCTV, Access Control and more traditional areas.
Your role will be broken down into 2 main areas:
• Acting as Sales Manager, being responsible for the delivery, training and motivation of a small sales team, making sure that they are able to hit targets and that they have the tools and ability to achieve their targets, as well as seeking to enlarge the sales team to expand the companies already considerable presence across the UK and overseas.
• Assisting the Divisional Director, acting as his 2 i/c, helping him with the day to day running of the operation of the division, making sure that they are operating within parameters and keeping the costs down to a minimum level.
To be eligible for this role you will need to have both a strong sales and people management background, and have proven demonstrable experience of running a successful sales operation within a similar sized company. Previous experience in the Technical Security Sector would be high advantageous, however full training will be given on the equipment.
This is a newly created role in the company as they expansion plans for the next 3 – 5 years, as well as the commitment and drive to bring those plans to fruition, so this could be an ideal opportunity for someone to join the company at this key stage, with ongoing development within the company, and for the right individual possibly a board seat as well.
