Vehicle Mechanic (Plant / HGV) vacancy in Gloucestershire (160ls)

I am currently seeking a Construction Plant Fitter/ Mechanic based in the South of England. This role is a permanent, full-time position. My client operates a large fleet of Roadmaster automated pot-hole repair HGV's, and has a demand for more mechanics. I am seeking someone based in the South of England, or around Gloucestershire. You would need to have strong communication skills, a good personality and be flexible. You would be based at home but would be required to travel and stay away overnight on occasion, depending on the needs of the fleet. You need to have the flexibility to be able to travel a lot in the high season. The Company will pay for all accommodation, provide a mobile phone and tablet, and pay subsistence when appropriate. The suitable candidate will be joining a logistics company that operates a comprehensive range of commercial vehicles to operators and companies in the UK. The successful candidate will ideally hold an industry recognised qualification.

Duties to include;
• Carry out preventative maintenance and servicing
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical defects on vehicles, replacing parts as and when necessary in line with Company and Legislative requirements
• MOT Preparation and Inspection
• Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation to a high standard


For this role you will need the following;
• Willingness to work away from home on occasion
• Experience in a Plant / HGV mechanic role
• Be able to demonstrate excellent customer liaison skills whilst always being able to work on your own initiative.
• strong communication skills
• A good personality
• Due to the use of company vehicles, a FULL driving license is required.
