Navigation Systems Engineer vacancy in Malvern, Worcestershire (169jc)

My client supports the delivery of secured navigation which can be depended on when accurate navigation, positioning/ timing is mission-critical. They are now seeking a Navigation Systems Engineer to join their rapidly expanding team who are involved with the development of services & security capabilities for the next generation of navigation systems including, in particular, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) Receivers.

To be considered for this role candidates must have experience in the design and implementation of navigation systems including satellite navigation receivers.

The role would involve working with our large multi-disciplinary team to:
• Interpret customer requirements and develop innovative solutions
• Working across a broad spread of technical, project and security domains with the ability to understand and shape both the ‘big picture’ and technical details.
• Engaging with other technical experts and incorporate their input into broader technical solutions.

Knowledge of some or all the following is required:
• Navigation system specification
• Navigation signal processing
• Navigation processing
• Other GNSS technologies
• Multi-sensor navigation
• Robust navigation techniques (anti-jam, anti-spoof)
• Real Time Kinematic satellite navigation
• Differential GPS
• Navigation system implementation
• ASIC development
• Engineering design and implementation processes
• Crypto and key management
• GNSS infrastructure and deployment
• GNSS security

To be eligible for this role you will need the following:
• Degree in a science, engineering or maths subject or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Candidates should be willing to undergo government vetting to achieve SC and/or DV clearance as required. Due to this there may be certain projects where we will not be able to accept Dual Nationals.

The ideal candidate would probably come from either a RN or RAF background, who have left the service and who have worked within a similar organisation that deals with the ongoing development of GNSS systems, as this company has team of about 70 personnel and are looking to recruit additional individuals due to ongoing demand for their knowledge in dealing with the leading edge of this system.
