My client, is one of the most respected Manned Security Companies in the UK, who have strong links with the Forces Community are now seeking to recruit several Security Officers for one of its key sites in Milton Keynes.

You will be reporting to a Team Leader, and you will work as part of a team of 4 looking after the site.

Therefore, your role will be as follows:
• To monitor CCTV in the Control Room for the prevention of crime.
• To monitor alarm systems like Fire, Panic, Intruder & Building Energy Management and to respond to alarm activations in the appropriate manner.
• Responding to emergency situations such as lift entrapments, traffic accidents and first aid incidents.
• To create a safe environment in line with current safeguarding policy, legislation and practice.
• To control physical access to the campus and off-site locations. Permit access only to those who are identified employees, approved visitors, contractors and suppliers.
• Issue I.D. access cards, access rights and keys in accordance with procedures.
• To deal with enquiries from client personnel, visitors, and contractors in a courteous manner.
• Complete incident reports using an electronic incident log, detailing the events taking place on your shift and ensuring this is kept legible.
• To log & report missing, damaged or safety equipment such as first aid kits, lift and refuge emergency telephones.
• To co-ordinate patrolling officers at the request of the Security Warden.
• To rotate controlling and patrolling duties during each shift on a 2-3 hour rolling basis.
• To lock/unlock buildings and rooms as required, including off site buildings.
• To complete a frequency of patrols of vulnerable areas on campus grounds.
• To provide a security presence for the prevention of crime and respond to suspicious activities.

To be eligible for this role you will need the following:
• You must hold a valid SIA licence - Door Supervisor or Security Guarding.
• Must hold a full U.K. driving licence.
• A 5-year checkable work/career history. All applicants will be vetted in line with industry standards BS7858.
• To have a smart appearance befitting the company.
• Reliable, responsible and punctual.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal, listening and written, ability to write reports.
• Capable of following complex instructions and meeting tight deadlines.
• An enthusiastic and motivated individual with a customer focussed approach to work.
• Be PC literate, able to operate Microsoft Word and Excel effectively.
• Able to work in a team as well as on your own.
• Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk for extended periods when asked.
• Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site.
• A valid SIA licence for Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) is desirable.
• Valid First Aid at work Certificate is desirable.
• Security experience is desirable.
• To be readily available to cover shifts when required.

You will be working an average 42 hours per week. Start and finish times are 06:00 – 18:00 & 18:00 – 06:00, on a 4 on and 4 off shift pattern (covering days, nights & weekends, on a rolling roster of 4 dayshifts & 4 nightshifts).
