Mobile Heating Commercial pipe fitter/mechanical engineer vacancy in Bishops Stortford (205jc)

My client, is an established and expanding company in the HVAC sector, and they have a prestigious number of contracts covering London and the Home Counties and they are now seeking due to company expansion an additional Mobile Heating Commercial pipe fitter/mechanical engineer to join this expanding teams.

Their clients are managing agents, property owners, residential management committees, consulting engineers and facilities managers. They work with their clients to build and maintain relationships that deliver the highest possible standards in building maintenance

Your role overview will be:
• Mobile Heating, commercial pipe fitter/mechanical engineer with experience of wet system in both modern and aged large residential blocks and commercial buildings running from a central plant room. A highly varied job.
• Understanding of both gravity and pressurised, single, two pipe, ladder and district distribution systems.
• Pipe work from ½” to 4” covering galv, iron, steel, copper, plastic, composite etc., to include mapres or similar systems.
• Working knowledge of pumps, pressure and expansion vessels, DMZ valves, basic mechanical maintenance of plate exchangers, strainers, side stream filtration systems.
• Ability to fault find on building related heating, hot and cold-water distribution problems.
• Works may involve emergency repairs, breaking out of walls and floors to access pipe work.
• Role will involve planned mechanical maintenance on non-electrical or gas systems, with a high proportion of reactive and quoted works, which may involve minor domestic plumbing in residential apartments, typically radiator and valve problems, crossover chasing and rectification

To be eligible for this role you will need:
• You must be able to demonstrate experience in this sector.
• You will also need to be living within commutable distance to Central London.
• A full UK driving licence is essential plus clear DBS check.

My client is an active investor in people accredited organisation and therefore actively looks to encourage and develop its staff though investment.

The bulk of the role is 99% based within the M25, and the HQ is based in Hertfordshire.

They are offering a salary of up to £38k, depending on qualifications and experience, with a potential £5k in overtime per annum. You will need to live within the M25 or within 10 miles of it, as there are early starts, 8am. There is overtime available as well as call out payments. They also supply Van, uniform, phone, PDA, fuel card, parking credit card, £250 float, PAID WEEKLY, child care voucher scheme, holiday entitlement: 25 days plus Bank Holidays, Xmas bonus, loyalty bonus, incentive bonuses, sickness insurance 1% contribution to cover 100% of wages after 7-day deferment, auto enrolment pension, training and development
