Security Officer vacancy in Bishopsgate, London (228jc)

My client is one of the most respected Manned Security Companies in the UK, who have strong links with the Forces Community are now seeking to recruit several Security Officers for one of its key sites in Central London.

You will be reporting to a Team Leader; your job role will be to ensure that the Security service provided conforms to the Customer's requirements.

Therefore, your main duties & responsibilities will include:
• As per the Assignment Instructions following procedures for entry to the premises by Contractors, Visitors, Emergency Services etc
• Report any breakages or abnormalities noticed during the patrol
• Report any suspicious activity including possible Hostile Reconnaissance and or suspicious vehicles
• To provide an obvious Security presence
• To provide assistance to members of the Public, always remaining calm and polite
• To provide a high level of customer service. Thinking outside of the box and going that extra mile to assist tenants and guest.
• To operate the CCTV where necessary and react to incidents
• To complete all paperwork accurately and neatly and forward to the appropriate personnel as required
• To ensure all incidents are dealt with and that Incident procedures are adhered to
• Provide First Aid assistance when required, following First Aid training supplied
• To be professional when answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries
• To carry out any reasonable requests made by Senior Managers and or client or representatives.

To be eligible for this role you will need the following:
• You must hold a valid SIA licence - Door Supervisor or Security Guarding.
• Must hold a full U.K. driving licence.
• A 5-year checkable work/career history. All applicants will be vetted in line with industry standards BS7858.
• To have a smart appearance befitting the company.
• Reliable, responsible and punctual.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal, listening and written, ability to write reports.
• Capable of following complex instructions and meeting tight deadlines.
• An enthusiastic and motivated individual with a customer focussed approach to work.
• Be PC literate, able to operate Microsoft Word and Excel effectively.
• Able to work in a team as well as on your own.
• Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk for extended periods when asked.
• Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site.
• A valid SIA licence for Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) is desirable.
• Valid First Aid at work Certificate is desirable.
• Security experience is desirable.
• To be readily available to cover shifts when required.

In return they are offering a good hourly rate and you will be work a 4 on 4 off, Days, Nights and Weekends, with 8hr shifts minimum (transfer to 12 if deployed on the main site, transferred to another location).
