This is an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Driller (Geotechnical) to join an enthusiastic team delivering ground investigation and geotechnical services to a wide range of clients across the UK with the UK’s number one testing, inspection and compliance company. No Prior experience is necessary for this role - the recruitment process will be based on transferable skills and attitude - but research into what the role entails will be looked upon favourably. Excellent opportunities for role development and career progression exist for those willing to learn.

Client focused and quality driven, they are a leading provider of Infrastructure Services. Now they need an enthusiastic Trainee Driller based in their Wokingham office, undertaking site investigations primarily in London & South East England but occasionally further afield. No formal qualifications are necessary as all on-the-job training will be provided. Your challenge will include assisting the Lead Driller to:
• Undertake ground investigation utilising ground penetrating plant in accordance with the appropriate specification.
• Adhere to all company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies and site specific EH&S requirements at all times.
• In conjunction with the Rig Coordinator, work towards personal and vocational qualifications where appropriate e.g. NVQ. Work with project managers and site engineers to ensure field work is delivered safely and efficiently whilst maintaining high quality standards.
• Production of site records including, but not limited to; daily drilling logs, pre-start drilling rig checks, risk assessments, vehicle and tachograph records.

They are looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated individual with ability to work as part of a team. Communicative, organised, flexible and committed, you must also have:
• Full Clean UK Diving Licence with licence to tow desirable
• Valid CSCS card
• Enthusiasm & willingness to learn
• Mobility, flexibility and commitment.
