About the role

You will be planning, preparing and carrying out mechanical maintenance in the Plumbing and Mechanical trades whilst working across the full range of University buildings and sites. You will priorities and complete work schedules allocated to you.

It was after the First World War that the local community came together to create our university. The University of Leicester is a living memorial to honour all those who made sacrifices for the nation. Of course, as a site with such a heritage, reactive maintenance is vital to preserve our buildings. You will help to ensure we can keep supporting young peoples’ futures.

About you

To join us you will need a minimum of City and Guilds level 2 (or equivalent NVQ) in Plumbing combined with significant experience of working within the mechanical services industry. You should possess excellent working knowledge understanding of the Health and Safety practices associated with mechanical/building services.
Being a strong communicator, self-motivated and being highly organised are essential skills to being successful in this role.
