My client, who are an international construction and building services company are now seeking a Design and Project Assurance Coordinator to join their team.

Your role will be to deliver on time, within budget and in accordance with the Companies Health & Safety policies and procedures Design, Temporary Works and CDM 2015 compliance in support of Change Notice Capital Works and Lifecycle Projects under the terms of a PFI contract.

You will:
• Coordinate the operating unit design process and procedures in accordance with Companies OWOW for capital works and lifecycle projects. In conjunction with Project Managers develop initial design briefs, manage selection of consultants and designers, coordination of design development from concept through detailed design to specification
• Ability to analysis technical and commercial data to advise key stakeholders on alternative design solutions, alternative capital replacement, strategic and green proposals
• Prepare and provide management reports to agreed timescales for the services managed including but not limited to progress/programme, design risks and cost/budget on at least a monthly basis
• Undertake the role of Temporary Works Supervisor leading to a Temporary Works Coordinator for all Projects and Lifecycle works. Provide secondary support to Company Maintenance and CIS teams
• Prepare action plans and ensure they are implemented, provide monthly management reports on progress across the Estate and Operating Unit
• Initiate, co-ordinate and implement inductions, training, team talks, toolbox talks and development of all staff for the services managed from a Health and Safety perspective and ensure compliance with the Company IFE (Injury Free Environment) health and safety processes and procedures
• Undertake any other reasonable tasks that may arise from time to time as required

To be eligible for this role, you will need:
• A profession qualification with a Building Services or Construction related body; ONC/HNC or equivalent in an electrical/ mechanical/ building services engineering discipline; H&S qualification
• Demonstratable experience in managing and delivering large and complex design programs of work in line with the requirements of CDM 2015
• Must hold or be able to achieve SC clearance
• Excellent communication skills with a confident team working approach with efficient problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to manage a number of services simultaneously in accordance with the contract obligations and client expectations
