Anti-Drone Capability Expert vacancy in Doha (468jc)

My client, who is assisting with the 2022 World Cup in Doha are now seeking to recruit an Anti-Drone Capability Expert to become a key member of the team on a two-year contract.

You will be reporting to the Head of Technology Unit and as the Anti-Drone Capability Expert must have a specialist technical background in Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS’s) of all sizes. You will have extensive operational experience of the command and control of host nation public security operations, and professional competence in delivering client-side advisory services at Board level. The deliverables associated with this role will be delivered through the Technology Unit Head.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialist technical advice to the Technology Unit Head and wider Security Committee in relation to Unmanned Aircraft Systems of all sizes (including small UAS’s commonly referred to as Drone’s
• Provide technological input to be able to provide countermeasures to defeat unauthorised UAS’s
• Ensure the countermeasures are consistent and integrated with the event wide C4 procedures.
• Support C4 planning activity for the deployment of counter-UAS technology
• Provide the technical communications components in support of Readiness Plans and provide support to develop inter-agency response plans and procedures
• On behalf of the Technology Unit Head, ensure effective engagement and liaison with related SC Units, such as Intelligence, Competition and Non-Competition Venues with regards to technical communications
• Report project progress, risks and issues in accordance with Technological Unit assurance and programme management processes
• Identify, develop and mentor appropriate Qatari SQEP to ensure that legacy impact is maximised

Qualifications, experience and skills
This role requires a highly experienced technical C4 consulting expert with outstanding interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities to ensure that project deliverables are achieved to time and budget.
• At least 12 years’ experience required in technological counter measures
• Strong demonstratable experience of Unmanned Aircraft Systems of all sizes.
• Required expertise in mega event technical communications security C4 planning and delivery across Ministerial, Gold, Silver and Bronze levels
• Required expertise in senior stakeholder engagement and management
• Required experience in producing operational level technical and communications C4 planning and processes and their implementation in the context of mega-events
• Required highly developed interpersonal and communication skills in challenging environments, and a proven ability to work in a small team culture
• Required experience in handling multiple and complex demands under pressure and within tight timescales
• Required to display individual skills and strengths whilst supporting team members to achieve common goals
• Preferable to have experience of national level technical security operations in Qatar
