Motor Vehicle Technician (HGV Technician) (491jc)

Your role will be to service, maintain and repair vehicles components and accessories, in line with company, client and/or manufacturer's instructions, including removal and refitting in a safe, proper and economical manner using equipment provided. Diagnose faults and test vehicles utilising equipment available and using recognised test procedures and techniques. Including road testing where deemed necessary
What do I need to do the role?
You’ll need experience in servicing and repairing HGVs/LGVs and knowledge of HGV/LGV technical specifications and maintenance requirements
Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:
• Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
• High degree of attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Ability to actively seek solutions to problems
• Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks
Lastly, you will need to have a full UK Class C1 driving licence
You will need to be able to carry out any other duties and additional hours as and when necessary to meet the varying demands of the business and satisfy customer needs.
The ideal candidate would probably be ex REME who has experience of working on various types of HGV’s/LGV’s and who is able to hit the ground running in this fast paced environment supporting a service provider.
In return they will be offering a good starting salary, as well as a discretionary bonus which is paid quarterly, overtime which is time and a half outside of normal hours, and a first-class benefits package.
