My client, who are an established yet growing aerospace and training company which operates across the UK, delivering flying training services to the UK Government are currently seeking an Advanced Jet Training instructor to join their team in this Ground Based role.

They are seeking to attract and work with innovative, adaptable and proactive people to help them to achieve their mission, and they offer the opportunity to work in a professional, dynamic and diverse environment within our Training Support Hub and on our operations sites.

As a Qualified Instructor on the Advance Jet Training Squadron at RAF Valley you will be part of a small niche team delivering world class Ground School and Synthetic training to the Military on the Hawk T2.
You will
• Conduct ground-based instruction of military Phase IV Fast Jet Training Student Qualified Flying Instructors (QFIs) and ab-initio pilots in accordance with Advanced Jet Training (AJT) syllabuses. The syllabus ranges from conversion, tactical and more advanced evolutions.
• Conduct Computer Based Training/Computer Aided Instruction/Simulator training, including ground school lessons and simulated airborne events in accordance with AJT syllabuses
• Conduct other tasks related to Hawk TMk2 training as directed
• Assist Curriculum Design as Hawk TMk2 Subject Matter Expert (SME) in development and maintenance of AJT courseware

To be eligible for this role, you will need to have previous military experience as a military fast jet pilot.

Previous experience as a fast jet Qualified Flying Instructor or in fast jet synthetic training would be extremely beneficial but not essential.

Above all else you will thrive when instructing students and helping them to strive for success.

As an instructor, you will already be an excellent communicator and you will be used to working with different levels of ability within the student cadre. You will be working in an environment which is heavily customer focused, ensuring the company provides a first-class service at all times.

And you will also:
• Have experience of multi-facetted flying disciplines, combining leadership and airmanship to provide a positive learning environment.
• Be able to demonstrate experience of working in collaboration with our military partners.
• Have strong presentation skills, targeting a wide audience of varying student abilities.
• Develop and update courseware with emerging ‘best practise’ and updates as required.
• Fully engage with the RAF Safety Culture.
