My client, who supply, service and repair electrical, engine and robotic specialist heavy duty cleaning machinery into large Manufacturing Logistics and warehouse's facilities throughout the UK. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled, Field Service Engineer to join their UK service team. They are currently looking for a candidate that is based in the Bristol Area who can cover the South West of England.

They are a forces friendly employer and currently have staff from the REME, Royal Navy and Royal Marine's.

As a Field Engineer you will be based from home and receive your weekly workflow via a mobile device. This workflow consists of:
• Attending customer sites to conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Attending unplanned breakdown repairs (Call outs).
• Provide refresher training on machine operation and upkeep to customers.
• Accurately document all work conducted utilising your mobile device and hard copy worksheets.
• Assist in maintaining/building customer relationships for the company.

Skills required for the Field Service Engineer:
• Mechanical inspection, service & repair skills: Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, light fabrication/metal work.
• Electrical inspection & repair skills: Vehicle/machine wiring experience, motors, actuators & controller fault finding.
• Must be able to work independently in a remote location.
• Must be flexible with national travel if required. However, you will normally cover your localised region.
• Engine, LPG, Diesel Repair and Servicing Skills or similar is desirable but not essential.
• 3 Phase experience is desirable but not essential.
• Experience on automated/robotic machinery is a huge advantage but not necessary.

The ideal candidate would be a time served mechanic who has strong hands-on experience of fault finding and repairs and has the ability to think on their feet, as part of the interview process, you will need to give examples of mechanical repairs that have been accomplished.
