Utilising their IT knowledge to optimise client performance within vehicle tracking and video telematics.
Using the very best components, combined with custom designed software to deliver reliable, and highly functional solutions.

Our client is looking for a self-motivated Mobile Installation Engineer based in the South of England, who can demonstrate high personal standards, excellent customer communication skills and has a genuine interest in electronics and technology is a must!

The Role
As a Mobile Installation Engineer the role will mainly consist of installation of connected cameras, safety sensors and vehicle trackers.
Working on anything from cars to Commercial Fleet Vehicles, Commercial Lorries up to 26T and Large Agricultural Machinery.

Duties & Responsibilities
Be able to trouble shoot issues and give solutions to high tech equipment.
Needs to able to demonstrate commissioned equipment to customers.
Excellent communication skills written and verbal at all levels. (Customers and Sub Contractors)
Be able to project manage and plan the roll out of large orders and projects.
To maintain detailed records of the completed work
Conduct set up and maintenance activities.
Have a good knowledge of Multi Camera Systems and Blind Spot Detection Systems
Work efficiently to highlight issues or deficiencies with equipment levels and performance.
Be able to understand and to be trained on the latest equipment configuration of installations.
Understand and interpret design documentation and work to instructions.
Be able to carry out testing and certifying new systems and equipment.
Determine the customer’s requirements through regular contact.
Stay informed on fault progress and solutions.
Understand 12 and 24-volt systems.
Have a good understanding of Vehicle Electronic Systems (Commercial and Agricultural machinery)

Desired Skills, Attributes & Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels.
Self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure are vital.
Be able to travel to other areas to meet customers’ needs.
Be prepared for overnight stays when required.
Be able to work weekends, (due to the nature of the industry vehicles may only be available to work on over week days).
Be fit able and willing to work outside in all conditions if necessary.

Qualifications
Level 2 Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles.
Level 2 Diploma in Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Competence.
Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
