My client who are a rapidly expanding company, that are experts in supply and installation of Vehicle Workshop & Bodyshop equipment are now seeking to recruit two engineers to join their expanding team.

They are seeking an experienced enthusiastic engineers to join the team at this exciting time of development.

The role on offer is challenging, with lots of variety and provides a great opportunity to continue to develop your skills and experience. They are passionate about customer service and are looking for an engineer with great technical expertise, a professional manner coupled with great communication skills.

The role will cover planned service work & installs as well as responding to customer breakdowns and emergencies. Their strategy is to have a broad customer base from small independent garages to large commercial concerns, and their engineers need to be confident working in all types of environments.

Your main duties will cover:
• The service, repair, install and calibration of vehicle lifts, tyre changers, wheel balancers, brake testers, headlight testers, air compressors, mobile columns & MOT equipment.
• Repairs and servicing of lubrication equipment (if experienced)
• Liaising with Customers regarding job requirements and job progress
• Updating Service Genie software with job information
• Communicating with the central office team and fellow engineers
• Completion and submission of necessary paperwork accurately & in a timely fashion.
• Compliance with all health and safety requirements in the office and on Customer sites
• Demonstration and training of new kit to Customers
• Ensuring van is effectively stocked with equipment and kept clean & tidy.

To be eligible for this role you will need the following qualifications, skills and experience:
• BTEC Engineering (beneficial but not essential)
• 5-10 years working experience as a garage equipment engineer, preferable.
• Experience of working with Somers, KONI, Space/RAV equipment, preferable.
• Experience of installation, repairs and servicing of 2/4 post lifts and scissor lifts
• Basic PC literacy skills
• Ability to link equipment to VOSA systems, preferable.
• Good Customer service skills
• Good communication skills & ability to quickly build rapport.
• In good health to be able to manage the manual and physical aspects of the role
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Have completed a HPC Compressor course
• Be a CSCS card holder (desirable not essential)
• Hold a forklift truck license (desirable not essential)
• Full Driving License essential
• Passport holder to enable overseas training.

The ideal candidate would probably come from a vehicle or equipment engineering background who has experience of hydraulics, pumps and other similar type of equipment and who has the ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently. And ongoing development where you can progress to a Senior Engineer/Team Leader within a short period of time where you will be responsible for your own team of engineers.

The role will be based from their HQ based in Manchester, as you will be home based essentially after full training on the equipment as well as coaching and mentoring from a senior engineer/team leader.

In return they are offering a good staring salary, depending on your experience and with overtime the ability to increase your basic salary by about £10k, as well as providing Company van, Fuel card, Mobile Phone, Uniform, PPE, All power tools & calibration equipment, Cash float for company purchases as well as all accommodation and out of pocket expenses are covered will be covered.

You will be working a 40-hr week, Mon to Fri with some weekend working by prior arrangement, workplace pension, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown.
