Senior Software Developer vacancy in Remote Working (292jc)

My client, who is a well-established technology company based in the UK with presence in Bulgaria, providing market leading cloud-based software solutions to large multi-national companies with a set of online solutions ranging from cyber-secure portals and identity management to secure communication modules both online and mobile.

Due to continuing expansion, my client is looking for a talented and results driven Senior Software Developer to join their virtual team. The individual should feel comfortable working from home, as this is a remote full-time work offer as their team is all remote working, scattered between England and Bulgaria.

Your key responsibilities will include:
• Participate in the development and maintenance of existing and new online services.
• Drive the implementation of new modules – from requirements all the way to deploying to production.
• Work closely with the Team Lead and the Frontend developers to establish and maintain a robust, modern & secure platform driven by an established backend API.
• Integrate & maintain integrations with relevant other business applications.
• Troubleshooting and documentation of the development process.
• Enhance the product by effectively collaborating with the other team members.

What we are looking for:
• 3+ years of development experience with Web, service-oriented or distributed systems.
• Deep functional knowledge or hands-on design experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc);
• Knowledge of backend API usage and development combined with strong JavaScript knowledge;
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX;
• Desire to learn new things and accept challenging tasks;
• Experience working within an Agile Development framework;
• Very good communication skills / logical thinking and analytical skills / ability to multi-task without compromising quality;
• University degree in Computer science or equivalent;
• Very good verbal and written English;

Not essential, but helpful:
• Experience in integration of business applications and interfaces;
• Some experience in video conferencing and other online communication technologies
• Some knowledge of Perl
