My client, who are fully accredited to provide training and testing courses to the construction, engineering, warehousing, and petrochemical industries are now seeking additional Plant Machinery CPCS/NPORS Trainer/Tester to join their growing team.

Your role will be to promote, deliver, train, and assess candidates on variety of Plant Machinery. Experience of working in the Construction Industry is essential. You will need to have experience of working with and operating Plant Machinery. You will be focused upon delivering a high-quality service to candidates and their employers managing an agreed number of cohorts and working towards timely completions. This will take place in a variety of work environments including on-site assessments, in the workplace or my client’s skills centres. Be responsible for contributing towards the maintenance and improvement of the standards and effectiveness of the learning programmes and the planning and delivery of innovative programmes of learning, enabling learners to develop their knowledge and practical skills so that they can demonstrate their competence to industry standards.

• Spot check operators to ensure that all Health and Safety is being adhered to

Essential Qualifications:
• Proven experience in operating mobile plant equipment such as 360 Excavators (Wheeled or Tracked), Dumpers, Rollers, Telescopic Handlers etc.
• Plant Instructor Qualification NPORS/CPCS:
• Delivering training mostly across the following categories:
• 360 Excavator
• Forward Tipping Dumper
• Rear Tip Dumper
• Loading Shovel
• Telescopic Handler
• Fork Lift Truck
• Ride on Roller
• HIAB Lorry Loader

Responsibilities
• Promote equality and diversity throughout the cohort of learners.
• To maintain and promote National and awarding body standards, ensuring compliance and quality of provision
• To foster and develop relationships with learners/employers, understand the needs of your learners/employers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet those individual needs
• To prepare training materials in all formats to facilitate learning and to provide a stimulating learning environment by making full use of available resources, and by creating an atmosphere of mutual respect.
• To complete all relative required paperwork requirements for auditing and external verification purposes.
• To remain up to date in the chosen field and develop new skills and knowledge in line with CPD
• to always work within the company’s vision & mission statement
• to ensure monthly performance targets are met as a minimum
• to undertake duties in full accordance with the company’s policies and procedures
• to commit to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults within the organisation.
• To be aware of risk assessment in the workplace and ensure learners are in a safe working environment in line with Health and Safety regulations
• To be responsible for the timely and effective assessment of candidate/s in the workplace, skills centre, ensuring necessary planning and feedback is negotiated and recorded, to meet company requirements, as well as all stakeholders

Working hours
Your normal working hours are, 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, though you may on occasion have to work flexibly to meet a project deadline or when attending an event or conference.
