Our Client provides strategic knowledge and project management and delivery solutions needed to help our business partners successfully grow their infrastructure footprints across Telecoms, Utilities, Highways and Civil Engineering infrastructure sectors.
Working predominately in the public sector and blue-chip private markets, with an increasing involvement into private and developing markets including residential, education and commercial development.

Our Client is urgently looking to employee an Applications Team Manager to join the fast-growing team based in Cambridge and visit or work at other Company Offices.

Overview of Role

To oversee the Applications team in completing of ‘As Builts’, timely submission to client and chasing subsequent payment minimising excess WIP. Support the Head of Planning & Applications in dealing with clients representing the Company in a professional manner always.
Responsible for ensuring client contracts are understood in relation to the Application process ensuring key service level agreements are met minimising instances of delayed payment.
Working with key stakeholders, ensure the ‘Application’ submitted to the client is complete and contains accurate information in relation to the completed build.
Line manages the team ensuring consistent application of the performance management framework supported by training and development, taking the time to routinely give feedback that recognises good performance and constructively intervenes on poor performance.
Working closely with the Head of Planning & Applications establish client relationships that create the opportunity for partnership in identifying new ways of working to drive productivity gains and efficiencies that benefit both Company and the client.

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for the Applications team to deliver ‘AS builts’ back to the client within agreed SLAs.
Provide information required in support of WIP including detail relating to overdue applications and contact with clients in relation to overdue payments.
Resolve client queries and resubmit applications where necessary within agreed SLAs once queries have been resolved.
Apply the performance management processes consistently across the team you are responsible for ensuring the performance appraisal set clear expectations of performance and is adequately supported with training and development.
Ensure the key elements of the client contract relating to the applications process is understood by the team and operational controls are implemented to ensure we successfully meet these requirements.
In conjunction with the Head of Planning & Applications build effective client relationships that enable disputes to be resolved quickly with a partnership approach in identifying improvements to the applications process to drive efficiency
Work collaboratively with operational teams to ensure all required information is captured in a timely manner, is accurate and able to be used confidently in the application process.
Collect information as required for processing of team member wages, overtime, holiday, sickness and medical information by required deadlines.
Ensure your work and that of your team is undertaken safely and in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
