Our Client is Looking to employee an Audio-Visual Technician (AV) with IT back ground to join their growing team support the IT department in their Eastleigh Office.

Overview
• Provide professional, effective, knowledgeable and rapid Audio-Visual (AV) and IT support to staff and clients as needed in the company and location
• Triage, resolve or escalate support calls within agreed timescales using IT Service
• Management principles and logging systems.
• Provide support for the operation and maintenance of equipment
• Install and maintain audio visual equipment including display devices, projectors, televisions, camera systems, video teleconferencing systems (VTC), microphones and speakers.
• Provide excellent equipment services to meet client expectations.
• Perform equipment storage and transportation activities in safe and secure manner.
• Perform inventory management of equipment, wirings, and accessories to avoid any shortages.
• Setup and operate audio visual equipment for trainings, presentations, meetings and conferences.
• Perform equipment additions, removals, repairs, replacements and inspections.
• Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions
• Assemble and disassemble audio visual equipment as needed.
• Test equipment to ensure they are in good and safe working conditions.
• Prioritize and complete work orders accurately and timely.
• Provide technical assistance to other Technicians when required.

Main Duties & Responsibility
Every morning do a room walk around – checking all AV equipment, carry out a test call
Ensure room is in a full working order – the client has a Gold level Service contract with Visual Synergy.
Should an issue arise, to engage with the service dept to rectify faults in a timely manner.
Run daily checks using the client software to check error logs and if any firmware updates are available / have failed to upload etc
Work alongside the IT dept in reporting issues
Setting up equipment for special events
Creating daily / monthly reports to show equipment / IT issues
Booking service engineer calls when required.

Hours of Service
Monday to Friday 0730 to 1630 - 5 Days a week with occasional
weekend work so a flexible approach to work will be required to ensure that all duties
are covered.
Overtime available with some weekend and evening work at the client’s request

Education & Qualifications
3 to 5 years’ Experience in a similar role (VOIP Engineer) AV Technician (IT)
ICT systems and principles Level 3 NVQ
