Trainee TSCM Engineer vacancy in Woking (326jc)

My client, who are a leading TSCM service company in the UK are now seeking Trainee TSCM Engineer to join their expanding team.

You will be reporting to Head of Technical Services, and your role will be to learn the technologies, tactics, techniques, and procedures of TSCM search which includes:
• To conduct Technical Surveillance Counter Measures surveys
• To learn how to complete TSCM survey forms and the writing of the TSCM report.
• To be aware of current and emerging espionage threats, vulnerabilities, and trends
• To work on client sites in UK and overseas, as part of team

To be eligible for this role you will need the following qualifications and experience:
• Working towards a qualification in electronics/electrical engineering, telecommunications, or computing sciences.
• Developing a broad knowledge of RF technologies
• Developing general knowledge of InfoSec techniques.
• Interest in new and emerging technologies
• Gaining experience in TSCM techniques and equipment’s and the ability to learn these techniques and operate equipment.
• Capable of staying abreast of new technologies.
• Good practical skills.
• Developing knowledge of Risk, Threat and Vulnerability issues.
• Good working knowledge of the internet, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, etc.
• Able to work as an excellent team player.
• Client focused.
• Cost sensitive and able to deliver VFM (value for money) on all areas of TSCM business.
• Able to work with colleagues to delivery company objectives.
• Some experience of field work and working on external sites

Therefore, your specific duties will include:
• Deploy operationally as a team member in a range of TSCM environments both in the UK and overseas.
• Support with the completion of TSCM survey forms as required.
• Support with the production of TSCM reports as required.
• Undertake maintenance and deployment of operational technical equipment. Actioning of defects and shortfalls in equipment, reporting all issues and identifying any trends and implementing solutions. Assist with research and the procurement of new equipment.
• Take part in technical training sessions, exercises, and courses as necessary to gain the skills required and to engage in continuous professional development
• Transport TSCM equipment to support operational deployment
• Undertake technical project work to research threats, design and build training and test devices, extend technical capabilities and
• Produce TSCM survey plan documents such as marked up floor plans, prioritised room schedules
• To assist the team with office duties as required, such as filing.
• To attend exhibitions, conferences and shows, at least twice per year
• To attain Associate/Student Membership of the TSCMi
• To install and support the operation of In-place monitoring systems
• Ensure continued compliance against BS ISO/IEC 27001 which is supported by the Company Information Security Policy and BS ISO/IEC 9001 which is supported by the Company Quality Management System.
• General duties to meet demands of small growing business.
