Our client, a prestigious management company, are searching for a Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing technician - a members of the technical team within a luxury ‘7 Star’ Private Estate.
This role is a permanent position and would suit someone looking to spend at least 3 years in a Middle Eastern country, working on one of the most impressive private estates in the world. The position requires hard work, but provides you with a tax-free income, little expenses (food and accommodation are included), and a generous annual leave with a flight allowance.
DUTIES:
• operate as part of a team to monitor the efficient and safe operation of all mechanical and electrical equipment, HVAC, pipework and plumbing essential to the day-to-day operation of a private estate.
• The MEP Technician will respond to alarms, breakdowns and call-outs
• The MEP Technicians will provide 24-hour cover in 8-hour shifts, so the ability to generate clear and concise handover notes for colleagues forms an essential part of the role.
• Assigning tasks to be conducted by the Technical Department staff or outside contractors, will be coordinated in accordance with instructions from the MEP Senior Technician.
• Analysing faults and writing accurate job specifications is a daily duty.
• Monitor the Technical Department’s inventory in coordination with the Technical Storekeeper and assign tasks as appropriate.
Required:
• Engineering experience with the construction and management of hotels and large private residences, or maintaining ships, large private yachts, luxury hotels or large private estates.
• Knowledge of best practices for construction – mechanical, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry and general construction, with an eye for detail and workmanship.
• Microsoft skills
• Proven ability with writing reports, worklists, specifications and scopes of work.
Expertise in two or more of the following skills:
a. HVAC
b. Electrical Engineering
c. Mechanical Engineering
d. Plumbing and Pipework
e. Masonry
f. Carpentry and Cabinetmaking
g. Painting and Decorating
h. Locksmithing (key cutting)
i. Welding.
Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential. Full driving licence.
